SBVOC, January 25, 2025

This past weekend, St. Adelaide’s in Highland teamed up with SBVOC and hosted a beautiful RUACH event that left everyone feeling spiritually refreshed and deeply connected. The evening began with a delicious dinner generously supplied by the parish, which created an opportunity for attendees to come together, share a meal, and build community. The warm and inviting setup added to the sense of belonging and healing, helping everyone feel at ease as they prepared their hearts for what was to come.

After dinner, and a bit of stand up comedy, Father Hau Vu delivered a powerful talk that resonated deeply with the audience. His message touched on pride, humility, and that God's plan is one of relationship. Not just with him, but with one another.
Father Hau shared, "To live isolated, disconnected from others, is to endure suffering and loneliness that could be softened by love and community.invited reflection and encouraged attendees to their hearts to God’s presence aOne attendee shared, “The way Father Hau speaks brings a sense of calm and clarity. It’s like he’s guiding us to truly listen to what God is saying in our lives. God's plan is never solitary; it is always shared".
Fr. Hau concluded his talk with an invitation to be with Jesus in Adoration. As the Eucharist was placed on the altar, Joe Bedard of the Ruach Collective began to lead worship with his signature soulful and reflective music. The atmosphere shifted into one of deep reverence and peace, as attendees were invited to encounter Christ in a profoundly personal way.

The night was described by one attendee as “an amazing place to heal and to find out what’s next for me in my life.” One participant noted, “There’s something special about the atmosphere that RUACH brings—it’s a space where you feel completely embraced by God’s presence, not only in the Eucharist, but just completely around you.”

From the beautiful setup to the heartfelt worship and fellowship, the RUACH event was nothing short of incredible. It was an evening that brought peace, healing, and clarity to those who attended, and it served as a powerful reminder of the beauty of encountering Christ together as a community.
WHAT IS RUACH?

"Ruach" is the Hebrew term for "The breath, or wind, of God". It is a reminder that God can be found all around us and to take the time to BREATHE IN AND WORSHIP OUT. RUACH was formed to have the feelings of an "upper room" expereince. To come together in any space, at anytime, and worship. If you’ve never attended a RUACH event, we invite you to join us next time. It’s more than just an evening—it’s an experience of God’s grace and Love.
