Some husbands thought they were headed to the casino.
Last May, many wives brought their husbands on a surprise date. A few of the men told me later they were sure the night was ending at Yaamava’. Then the car turned toward a seminary at the foot of Blue Mountain, and they wondered where on earth they were going.
What they found was our courtyard, transformed: string lights overhead, candles on every table, and each table set for one couple. Couples came from Murrieta, Hemet, Riverside and San Bernardino. Some danced, some sat holding hands, and some shed tears of joy. The Spirit of God was at work in all of it.
Every seat was taken. This year we’re doing it again, and I would love for you to be there.
